NanoFARM is a collaboration between Carnegie Mellon University, the University of Kentucky, the University of Aveiro and the University of Vienna. The project will investigate the long term environmental behavior of Cu and Zn based (hydr)oxide nanomaterials used in nano-enhanced agricultural pesticides and fertilizers to assess their potential for ecological impacts. The aim is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the fate and risks of nanomaterials in agricultural products, facilitate and inform their safe design and to improve exposure and hazard assessment.
